Early Life
Poduri Sreenivas Rao was born in Andhra Pradesh, India and retired as Chief Manager in Andhra Bank, he Worked in Andhra Bank for 40 years and 12 years in Cooperative Institutions.
Family
His wife is a homemaker, he has a two children, a Son and a Daughter.
Education
Poduri Sreenivas Rao has done B.Sc., LLB, CAIIB, CAB, BANKING PRAGJYA (Hindi), He has passed Prathamika, Madhyama, Rashtra Bhasha Exams conducted by Dakshina Bharatha Hindi Prachara Sabha in First Division. He learnt Sanskrit language through Samskrutha Bharathi and passed upto 3 levels, Siksha Level. He has written poetry in Telugu and as well as in Hindi and his Telugu poetry was published in a number of Telugu Magazines, whereas his Hindi Poetry was published in some Hindi Magazines. He was correspondent for Andhra Bank House Journal and in charge for collecting and covering the News from Nellore to Srikakulam. He was Editor for Hindi Magazines. Helapuri Vani (published from Andhra Bank, Regional Office, Eluru), Reflections (published from Andhra Bank, Regional Office, Bhubaneswar), Chinthana (published from Andhra Bank, Zonal Office, Bhubaneswar, Vijaya Visakha (published from Andhra Bank, Zonal Office, Visakhapatnam).
Biography
Poduri Sreenivas Rao was a poet, who wrote more than 1000 poems. So far 3 poetry collections have been published under the names Sri Sumalu, Sri Saugandhalu and Sri Charanalu. The printed poems are about five hundred and more. He is a author aswell, his stories nearly about 15 stories were published in different magazines and received prizes for 5 stories in various weekly and monthly magazines like Andhra Prabha, Andhra Jyoti, Andhra Bhoomi, Navya, Pallaki, Rachna etc.He is a well known painter, participated in 22 Art Exhibitions with pencil and watercolor paintings. In which 14 exhibitions were held in Telugu University and at various art galleries 2 times in Goa, once in group shows in Trivandrum, ONE MAN SHOW in Vijayawada, Vizag, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur. Drawing portraits of around 400 celebrities (Akkineni, Cinare, Jamuna, Shobhanaidu, Sri Sri Sri Swarupanandendra Saraswathi, Visakha Sarada Peetaadhipathi, Sri Sri Tridandi Jeeyar Swamy, Andhra Bank Chairman Sri K. Ramakrishnan, Andhra Bank General Manager Sri VR Venkatraman0 etc, were among his artworks. He is fond of collecting postal stamp, Coins, Currency, Autographs collections. He has around 11,000 stamps from 187 Countries, around 200 autographs of Celebrities. He is proficient in Telugu Reverse Writing (Mirror Image).
Records
On 15th August 2017, at A K T P Municipal High School in Vijayawada, in the presence of the then Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner Sri Vas, District Vidyadhikari and other dignitaries, he created a High Range World Records by writing our National Anthem Janagamana, reverse writing method, in Telugu in just three and a half minutes. He has achieved 12 world records. Similarly, in celebration of Vemana Jayanti in 2018, on 11th January 2018 he created history by writing 100 poems in Vemana Shatakam in just 3 hours and 48 minutes. He also achieved 16 World Records.[1]
So far 504 National, International and World Records have been awarded to them by 42 Organizations around the World. He is at the 2nd position in India in achieving records.
HONARY DOCTORATE: He was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in the Department of Literature & Fine and Performing Arts by National Deemed University, affiliated to University of Berkeley, California, on Sankranti Day in January 2019 at Malaysia.
On 22 June 2022, he received another Honorary Doctorate, D.Litt, from London University of Arts & Culture, London, for completing 50 years of literature. With this, 2 honorary doctorates have been received.
Awards
So far, more than 470 awards have been received for all over the World.[2]
Titles
Although he has won 22 titles so far, In 2005 Srinivasa Rao feels that the first title conferred by Narayana Reddy garu is the Kala Seva Ratna title which is his favorite.
Publicity
There was a special story about them in ETV, Telangana. Srinivas Rao participated in an interview three times on Metro TV[3]
A special article on Srinivas Rao was published in The Hindu.[4] Namaste Telangana daily published special articles on Srinivas Rao. On the occasion of Sreenivas Rao's birthday, Manajyoti magazine published from Vijayawada has published a special issue with 48 photos of Sreenivas Rao on his cover and with celebrities and on honorable occasions. Special articles about them were published four times in Hello Hyderabad Paksha magazine published from Hyderabad.
Acting
In 1999 and 2000, Jeevan Gamanam and Antaryam starring Srinivas Rao were shown on television.
Community Service
Dr. Poduri has been a member of Lions Clubs International for the last 15 years and Walkers International Club for the last 12 years and has been participating in Social Activities for the Lionistic year 2022-23, Anjali has been elected as the President of the Lions Club of Vijayawada, Vijayawada. He is acting as the Vice President of Bhagyanagar Bankers Group in Hyderabad and as the Chairman of some of its departments. Dr.Poduri is also acting as Honorary Advisor to Sri Kamakshi Brahmin Society in Nizampet.
