SHASKVIR 'Shask Vir(hindi: शास्क वीर ),Born in a Middle class family on (September 5, 1991) at patna-Bihar living in Mumbai ,also known as Shashank Saurabh is an Indian singer, songwriter, a music programmer and director.His music career began upon participating in a college live event in 2010. He took up freelance music programming and video editing projects. Later, he started a duo called B&S (Bharat and Shask) which released more than 20 songs by 2014. In 2015, he moved to Mumbai and got selected for a reality show called “Dil Hai Hindustani”. Same year, he started his own production house and record label called ”Blackweed Productions"([1]) and collaborated with talented artists like Ssameer. In the beginning, he was having a hard time meeting the break-even point but things started rolling in and one thing led to another, giving him the desired results he has been waiting for. In 2017, he released a new track “Haan Kar De” in collaboration with Singer Ssameer and India’s biggest Record Label T-Series. In 2018, he released another new track called “Raahi” under Zee Music Company "'zee music company", bringing him fame and success.
Early life
Shask vir was born on September 5, 1991 in patna, Bihar, India in an Awadhiya family. He completed his engineering in Computer science and Technology at Solan ,Himachal Pradesh.He used to get excellent grades in school(GYAN NIKETAN- PATNA) & was a brilliant student. His father Umesh Kumar who works with State bank of India and His mother Nitu Singh passed away in 2020 Pandamic.
Since childhood,He have been blessed with God's gift that allows him to sing and understand the concept of music. He started getting into the professional level of music during his college days. It wasn't easy then but same time it wasn't impossible to believe in it. So he kept on slowly but steadily working on learning things like making music, editing of songs so that he won't need to be dependent on anyone else to do his work. Initially, it wasn't easy, but slowly he picked up. he came to Mumbai and started investing his energy to make more professional songs and even able to set up my own music studio called Blackweed Productions. Since, then it has never stopped.
It was the time when he produced the song "Toota dil" in collaboration with Emcee Bharat. That song took us to another level. Toota Dil garnered 200K plays on muslate.com and we started getting calls from different producers and singers for collaboration. That was the time he was completely ready to invest his time with dedication. Yes, that has to be the defining moment.
At the Audition for the show " Dil Hai Hindustani " He wasn't ready for this show. he just came to see his friends who were giving their audition for this show so even he applied while having some conversation with them. After a few hours of waiting, the moment of truth dawned right in front of him and he decided to sing his own songs. The judges were all in appreciation. And he rendered a very famous song 'Mitwa - Shankar Ehsaan Loy & Shankar Mahadevan & Caralisa Monteiro". he did crack round 1 and 2, and then he had to say goodbye to the show.
When he started he didn't have a choice. As he had to spend his college life and his personal life all in just a few thousands. So it was hard to think about extra money to afford the production cost and editors' cost at that time. he have approached some famous producers to make it happen for him, but nothing worked. The price quoted by them left him high and dry. So he started utilizing YouTube to learn what he needed to know, to self produce a song. He remember recording his first song using a mic from a headphone and using Audacity as his DAW. Slowly, he have managed to save money for buying professional gears and software and learn all the professional editorial effects for the songs. That helped him to be self-dependent and even earn a livelihood from it. As he Quoted " These skills are very important because it gives you an extra edge to understand a song from an editor's perspective and improvise according to that".
Music
shask vir is a hard working and skilled artist. he has made his first official release of song Dil ye manage more hai which released on Unisys Music in 2014. later with more courage and potential shask vir released Toota dil in 2015 ,IN 2016 he moved to Mumbai and started his record label Blacked production. In 2017, he released a new track “Haan Kar De” in collaboration with Singer Ssameer and India’s biggest Record Label T-Series. In 2018, he released another new track called “Raahi” under Zee Music Company " . Year 2019 is one of the most productive year in Shaskvir's life he released 6 songs and music video with zee music company which even got nomination in Mirchi Music Award . Same year on May 6th , he got recognised by IPRS ( Indian Performing Right Society )"[2]"
