Dr. T.T Varghese also known as Thomas Tijo Varghese is a popular magician residing in Coimbatore city that is located in Tamil Nadu, India. Using the stage name of Tijo Varghese, he was born on October 7th 1987 in Thiruvalla (Kerala),Pathanamthitta District - India. Dr. Tijo Varghese has won innumerous awards and has also been listed in the India Book of World Records.
Early Life
His passion towards the art of magic had originated in his childhood days when a popular magician in Coimbatore visited his school to perform a magic show. Dr. Tijo got mesmerized many magical acts that he performed including vanishing into thin air and making a lady appear from any empty box. Dr. Tijo personally met this magician after the show, requesting him to share his knowledge and teach him magic. The magician politely declined stating that Dr. Tijo was too young at that time and magic required a different form of sense along with intelligence. It disheartened him but Dr. Tijo didn’t let go of his dreams. With the extensive support of his parents, Dr. Tijo was introduced to ‘Magic’ Johnson (Johnson Gnanadurai); another popular magic-performer from Coimbatore who agreed to train him. Dr. Tijo treats Magic Johnson and Magic Jammu (Magician Jayaram) as his gurus.
Career
Since his first show, Dr. Tijo has become a popular magician in India and well as in the rest of the world. Tijo has always captivated his audiences with mesmerizing performances that include attention stage illusions, platform magic shows, and corporate magic shows on stage as well as on television. Dr. Tijo has received membership from several international magician societies such as the Society of International Magician in Kuwait and the All India Magician Society in Punjab. .
Dr. Tijo has completed Research in Magic and was felicitated by the World Record University, Faridabad, and Indian Virtual University for Peace and Education, Bengaluru. He has been honored by former Governor of Tamil Nadu, Konijeti Rosaiah for his multiple world record achievements and Magic Realism Award-2018 for his multiple world record achievements at a national convention at Alappuzha. Other achievements include Bharat Book of Records, Andra Book of Records, Vajra World Records and Global Records. He is also a recipient of Jadu Ceremony awards, the most prestigious award given to a magician.
Yet, Tijo Varghese doesn’t depend on the art of magic to earn a living. He was very interested into the magic when he saw the magic performance in his school life. His parents are well settled citizens and his father, V Thomas owns a DC manufacturing unit named Bharath Electric Motors in Coimbatore, India. Dr. Tijo Varghese is a part of his father’s business and the art of magic is only his personal passion.
Education
Dr. Tijo Varghese has obtained 3 Master Degrees which are M.Sc., MBA., and MCA in Tamil Nadu.
Personal Life
T.T. Varghese aka Tijo Varghese is a very humble person in real life who is very closely attached to his family. He aims to spread love and care across the world through his performances of magic. Tijo believes that his stage shows and T.V performances will soothe the minds of viewers, making them forget all the predicaments of real life. His father is T.V Thomas the owner of Bharath Electric Motors, his mother is Molly Thomas – a housewife. Tijo is married to Pinky Varghese and has a lovely daughter named Katelyn Mariam Varghese.
