Godwin Odohokpa Izomor (born 19 April 1967) is the founder and chief executive officer of MG Vowgas Group.[1][2][3] He launched the first locally made nigerian airboat in 2020.[4][5][6][7]

Background

Godwin Izomor grew up in Ozoro Delta State, Nigeria. After completing his primary and secondary education he joined Notre Dame College.

Career

Izomor currently holds the position of Managing Director at MG Vowgas Group. Early in his career, he gained valuable experience in sales and construction management where he managed numerous sales portfolios at Sphinx Limited and Trading Limited as a sales executive.

Izomor declared that his company was in business to halt capital flight in the oil and gas sector to improve local content and reduce the export of jobs abroad.[8][9] in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act.[10]

In 2018, he signed an MoU agreement with the Ministry of Defence for the fabrication of airboats in order to improve Nigerian local content[11][12] in line with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act.[13]

Awards

He received an award from the Royal State Legacy in 2020.[14][15]
