Shawki Awad Balzuhair (born July 24, 1981) is a citizen of Yemen, held in the United States Guantanamo Bay detainment camps, in Cuba.[1] The Department of Defense reports that Balzuhair was born on July 24, 1981, in Hadramout, Yemen and assigned him the Internment Serial Number 838.
As of August 18, 2011, Shawki Awad Balzuhair has been held at Guantanamo for eight years 10 months.[2]
