The CCGS Private Robertson V.C.., the first Hero-class vessel to be commissioned.

The CCGS Corporal Kaeble will be the second of nine Hero-class patrol vessels to be commissioned.[1][2]

The vessel is named after Joseph Kaeble, a winner of the Victoria Cross in the First World War.[3]

On February 10, 2011 the London Free Press reported that the Joseph Kaeble, and her sister ship the CCGS Private Robertson V.C. will patrol the Great Lakes.[4]

According to the Halifax Shipping News the Corporal Kaeble was first "rolled out" in April 2012, to be painted, and again in June, to have her masts installed.[5] They predicted she would be commissioned in October.
