Afsal Ismail, better known simply as Afsal, is an Indian playback singer in Malayalam cinema, with a career spanning over two decades. He was born on April 14, 1974, in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Afsal developed a passion for music at a young age, and began singing in 1992, performing the songs of the legendary S.P. Balasubrahmanyam. He quickly gained recognition as a talented vocalist, and in 2000 he made his debut in playback singing with the song "Kannilambum Villum" for the movie Valyettan. Since then, he has gone on to sing more than 250 movie songs in Malayalam cinema.

Afsal's popular songs include "Kai thudi thalam", "En Karalil Raakshasi", "Ishtamalleda Enikkishtamalleda", "Shaaba Shaaba", "Meharuba", "chirimanimulle", "Penne en penne", "manassilayiram", "veluveluthorupennu" and "jillam jillala".
