Synopsis
At the secret Renegade base, Braxis plans for the Renegades to take over the Saltsea Freshwater Plant and install his new invention into the machines. The invention will create the "super-powerful energy compound" EnergeX from the sea salt, which they can use to "defeat the Guardians and conquer Earth!"
At the Astrocorps Motor Pool Matt, Nick and A.J. are giving the Guardians lube jobs. Nick gets bored and Scooter decides they should go for a ride. Scooter gives a recap of how Guardians and Renegades came to Earth when they are suddenly rammed off the road by Crasher. Scooter is damaged, and locked in vehicle mode. Crasher races off.
At the water plant Braxis and Cop-Tur use sleeping gas to knockout the humans. Cy-Kill and Crasher arrive at the plant and order Braxis to activate his invention. Scooter and Nick follow Crasher and learn the Renegade plan. Nick comes up with a plan of his own and has Scooter lure the Renegades away with a hologram while Nick attempts to sabotage the computers. Nick is uncovered and runs off with Cop-Tur chasing him to a nearby apple orchard. Crasher captures Scooter as Cop-Tur brings back Nick. Cy-Kills orders Braxis to start his invention. The machines fill a bag with the EnergeX. Suddenly Leader-1, Turbo, Matt and A.J. crash through a wall to stop the Renegades. During the fight an alarm is set off summoning the police. Cy-Kill discovers that Nick has sabotaged the system so his bag of EnergeX contains ordinary sea salt.
With the police arriving on the scene both factions of GoBots and Braxis escape, leaving the Matt, Nick and A.J. to explain the damage to the police.
