Sofia, Warrior Woman of the Leo Clan is the seventh episode of the animated television series Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos, which was broadcast on August 14th, 1986 in Japan.[1]

Plot

As Falcon Robo lands near a river Sofia observes the Wolf Emblem in the water and noticed the approach of the Gandora in the distance and reports it to Master Blade. He sends Shony and Nachess to guard the Valley of Death. Rom's band follow the Wolf Sword to the Valley of Death where they are observed by members of the Leo Clan. Led by Sofia, some of the Leo Clan attack. Rom refuses to fight Sofia because she's female before the Leo Clan warriors run off when they hear a cry of distress from their village - their home camp has been attacked and their chief Master Blade was taken by the Gandora. Ambulance Robo takes the injured for care. Rom offers to help but Sofia insists they finish their fight first. He reluctantly beats her and by the rules of the tribe can take Sofia as his wife if he wishes. Elsewhere, Grujious and Gades are interrogating the chief, who claims to know nothing. The Gandora captain Jingi suggests they take action against the remaining Leo Clan to get the information.

The Leo Clan find where the chief is being held, but Sofia continues to refuse Rom's offers of help unless she marries her. The Clan attack alone but are outnumbered by the Gandora and surrounded. Rom, Jet, Drill and Reina arrive (having followed the Leo Clan anyway) and turn the tide, but Sofia is mortally injured saving Rom from the Jingi. Watching from orbit, Gades causes a chasm to appear in the ground but Rom summons Blade Dragon while Jet and the other Leo Clan members rescue the chief. After converting to Vikung-Fu, Rom kills Jingi and Grujious retreats. The chief reveals to Rom that the Wolf Emblem has disappeared and they must search further.

Notes
