Night Ranger was chosen as the 10th goofiest GoBot name by Topless Robot in 2010.[1]
was named among the "5 GoBots That NEED to be in the Proposed GoBots Movie" by Kevin Hellions at underscoopfire.com.[2]
Abilities
Like most GoBots, Night Ranger has numerous abilities because of his robotic body. He can survive in space and is super-humanly strong and tough. He can fly in robot mode and project energy blasts from his hands. His body heals quickly when supplied with energy. He can turn into a motorcycle.
Animated series
In episode 49, "Fitor to the Finish", Zeemon took custody of the captured Renegade Fitor on GoBotron. Aiding Zeemon with the prisoner were the Guardian troopers Blaster, Dive-Dive, Heat Seeker, Night Ranger and Staks.

Cataclysmverse
In the story Cultural Appropriation by Fun Publications it was revealed that Ace, Bolt, Crain Brain, Dart, Gunnyr, Night Ranger, Slicks, Sparky and Wrong Way were sent to explore Level 51 when the Cataclysm threatened to destroy the GoBots home universe.
Echoverse
Night Ranger was featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots swapping places with characters during the events of that film. Night Ranger took the place of Cliffjumper in the plot. He was present when Unicron attacked the moon bases.[3]
Rhetoricverse
Night Ranger appeared in the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric episode 2 story "Fugitives". He failed to stop Robo Rebels from escaping the GoBotron Stockades.[4]
Night Ranger appeared in the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric episode 7-8 story "The Hawks of Space". In the story he and Scratch lost a prototype of the Space Hawk interceptor to a Renegade attack lead by Cy-Kill.[5]

- Tonka GoBots 30 Night Ranger (1984)
- A recolor of Machine Robo MR-37 Harley Robo. Turns from robot to motorcycle.
- Hasbro Transformers Scout Backtrack (unreleased)
- A recolor Cybertron Lugnutz. This toy was intended to be released as a Target exclusive, but never made it to the store. Some samples have appeared online for sale.
- The color and license number MR-37 clearly indicate this toy is an homage to the GoBots Night Ranger and it was later repurposed into Night Ranger.
