Along with his savage teeth and ferocious fangs, his most devastating weapons include a quick-firing robotic bat, which features sonar sensors to detect enemies and alert Polar Claw for combat at all times--and at all costs

Animated series

Beast Wars

Polar Claw's stasis pod was among those who were launched into orbit around prehistoric Earth in the Beast Wars series pilot.[1]

Comics

IDW Publishing

Polar Claw appeared in IDW Publishing's Beast Wars: The Gathering, in which he was the first Protoform to be activated as a Maximal due to Razorbeast's intervention in Magmatron's plans. He made short work of Spittor before going on to join Razorbeast's Maximal milita in its various battles with Magmatron's Predacons.

A figure released individually or with Predacon Scorponok; later recolored into Survive and Barbearian/Grizzly-1.

Shattered Glass Beast Wars

Shattered Glass Polar Claw concept art

The second Polar Claw was an evil Maximal from the negative universe. He turns into a truck.[2]

Shattered Glass Polar Claw was originally proposed for a Beast Wars Shattered Glass set. Renegade Maximals invade "modern" Cybertron from the future! Leading them is a radioactive Cheetor bent on contaminating Cybertron to change the timeline!

Polar Claw teams with the Predacons and allows them access to his time travel research so that he can help them track down Cheetor and end a threat to time itself!

Symbols on the truck mode were inspired by the TV series Lost.[3]

Toys

Although ultimately never released, the proposed BotCon exclusive Polar Claw was a recolor of the 2011 Generations Kup with a new head. The Kup with the new head mold would ultimately be used to make BotCon exclusive Hoist.
