Werner Föckler (born 24 June 1945) is a former German referee most known for refereeing in the Bundesliga and FIFA matches from 1980 to 1992.[1]

Career

Beginning in 1974, he started refereeing in the 2. Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal until he was listed in 1980 to referee in the Bundesliga. Two years after the promotion, he was listed as a FIFA referee, which means he was able to referee international matches. He kept refereeing in the Bundesliga and FIFA matches until 1992. While he was a FIFA referee, he refereed the Europa League, the Champions League, the UEFA European Championship, and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.[1]
