* linalool
* pinene
* terpineol
* 3,4-dimethoxycinnamic acid, caffeic acid, diosmetin, luteolin, kaempferol, rosmarinic acid, apigenin, and genistein that control the blood glucose in diabetic rats
Eugenol, an orthomethoxyphenol, and ursolic acid have been identified as important components of [Holy] basil.
