David Rosov, Executive Chef, is the founder and owner of Palm Beach Personal Chefs in South Florida. Chef David received an appreciation for the finer things in life from his grandpa, a purveyor who managed a profitable butcher shop in the early 1940s. His grandfather's state-of-the-art refrigerated storage was also utilized to keep excellent ingredients that could be delivered to cruise ships and crews passing through the local port. Chef David's parents instilled in him a taste for richer, more exotic foods from an early age. Sips of champagne and the aroma of caviar lingered on Chef David's palette as his parents taught him how to prepare tables and supply the bar at the family-owned fine dining institution, The Saloon. Chef David's father operated The Saloon until his passing in 1981, at which point Chef David and other family members continued his father's heritage until the restaurant's final closure just over a year later. The Executive Chef of The Saloon began teaching a young Chef David the fundamentals of classical French cuisine while he was still running the restaurant with his family. Chef David met Michelin-starred Chef Guillaume in 1990 at Los Angeles' renowned L'Orangerie. The two went on to live in Paris and travel the country, with Chef David having the honor of staging there for a year. A stagiaire, or stage (pronounced "staahj"), is an unpaid intern in a kitchen. These are highly sought-after positions in Michelin-starred restaurants, where a chef can experiment with new techniques. This was the most common form of education prior to the establishment of culinary schools. And chefs at many of the world's top restaurants testify that most of their personal inspiration comes from individuals they studied under, showing that this is still a popular method of learning. Chef David is now in a good position to share the techniques he learned while staging in the United States. His skills and perceptive ability enable him to enter the world of television and motion picture catering in Hollywood. His first employment as a private chef is with actress Victoria Principal. Chef David would then move on to a number of high-profile individuals and American icons, including Barron Hilton, well-known athletes, politicians, and other high-net-worth individuals. Some of the accolades and press coverage of Chef David are being named LA’s Best Private Chef by the Los Angeles Magazine in 1997, Mona Liza Dockwise magazine 2009, Nice, France, being featured in the LA Times and newspaper in a photoshoot for chefs’ with the layout by Baren Hilton, being interviewed on talk shows including KIEV radio, and showcased in cookbooks such as the book of chefs to celebrities by private chefs incorporated inc. Chef David has also had the pleasure of working with high profile clients and working on large productions such as Will & Grace, Chrysler Motors commercial, Folger’s Coffee commercial with Wayne Gretzky, American Idol, MadTV, and Judge Judy. With such a high demand for Chef David private chef consulting services, establishing Palm Beach Personal Chefs was a logical next step. Chef David's company offers one-on-one, custom-delivered meal plans, personalized menus, gourmet food preparation for dinner parties, menu development, planning, purchasing, and estate management, among other high-end services.
