With his mother and grandmother, Tai Lopez was born and reared in Long Beach, California; as a child, his father was incarcerated .

When he was 6 years old, he launched his first little company by selling cherry tomatoes for his mother. When he struggled to sell many of them, he built a lemonade stand and made far more money.

Tai Lopez dropped out of college. He formerly worked at GE Capital. He is the proprietor of a Hollywood nightclub. Later, he earned his certification as a financial planner. Before founding, investing in, serving as a keynote speaker, advising, and mentoring more than 20 multi-million dollar enterprises, Lopez worked in the banking industry. Lopez has a Youtube channel with more than 1 million subscribers and more than 1 billion views . At the moment, he resides in Hollywood Hills. One of the biggest book clubs in the world, Tai claims to read a book every day. He discusses the books he reads on a daily book club platform that reaches more than a million people. He has been able to chronicle his outings and activities since becoming well-known among celebrities in Los Angeles, frequently providing a topic to his viewers relating to achievement and self-improvement . After gaining millions of followers across all of his social media platforms, he also made connections with other professionals in their respective fields, such as yoga instructors and celebrity trainers, and practices with them while picking up their skills. He enjoys collecting sneakers and playing basketball, which he posts about on social media. He also trains in MMA with a number of well-known coaches. He had trouble making friends as an adolescent because of the intense gang activity in his neighborhood. At the age of 16, he decided to advance his education and live a better life. He started reading about Aristotle's Nichomachean Ethics teachings, notably the idea of leading a happy and fulfilling life. His grandfather, a scientist, responded that he could not help him because the modern world was too advanced for him and that one could never find answers from just one person, in response to a letter the boy wrote to him asking for advice on the secret to living life, alluding to Aristotle's "Good Life." He stated:

"Tai, the world today is too complex. You'll never get all the answers from just one person. If you're lucky, you'll find a few people who will point the way throughout your life."

Tai started plowing through the boxes of literature his grandfather had sent him to read on the subject. After leaving college, much of what he would want to do for the following 10 years of his life involved guiding himself toward understanding what the "Good Life" meant. Reading the books that his grandfather had left him encouraged him to keep reading till he made the decision that he wanted to meet the characters he was reading about. And after working odd jobs, he was able to gather enough cash to visit roughly 51 different nations in an effort to meet such authors. He worked in an Indian Leper colony during his travels. After coming home, he spent more than two years residing among the Amish and performing various duties, including milking cows. Tai has frequently discussed the insightful encounters he had while living among the Amish. He found himself broke and without a place to live after opting to stop working. Later, he relocated to Clayton, North Carolina, where his mother lived in a mobile home. He made the decision to learn how to make more money after having $47 in his pocket. He considered whether he had failed as a person without a college degree, money, or abilities while sleeping on the couch as directed by his mother. In the finance section of the yellow pages that Tai had taken from the kitchen, he discovered a man by the name of Mike. Since he had the largest advertisement in the section, he made the decision to see him. He made an effort to look presentable before going to see Mike. Tai informed him that if the man taught him and served as his mentor in the areas of business and money, he would be willing to work for free. The man gave his consent, and Tai's quest to discover more about his path to the Good Life got off to a new start.

Tai's ownership in Elite Global Dating, LLC, which he acquired about 2007, was the source of his early increase in wealth. He now conducts conferences, inner circles, online business mentoring, and operates his "67 Steps Program". He also hosts a podcast called "The Grand Theory of Everything."

Tai Lopez gave a TED Lecture in January 2015 at a United Business Institutes event. The talk, titled "Why I read a book a day (and why you should too): the rule of 33%," discusses how reading a book every day helps people live fulfilling lives. He recounts his experience and explains how he uses his love of reading as a method to take advantage of modern life.

As a way to be set free and create opportunities that may lead to a deeper philosophical understanding of the "Good Life," Tai simplifies the process of personal profit in his lessons for his 67 Steps Program. The program is web-based and consists of video lessons that range in length from 30 to an hour. A lively online community exists where people can publish and journal their thoughts on the issues. Users can encourage one another by making comments.

A training course called Social Media Marketing Firm 2.0 shows you how to launch your own agency and attract clients. The software includes all of Tai's most recent social media strategies, along with email and phone scripts made to expand a clientele. The Social Media Marketing Agency 2.0 training course lasts for four months and includes access to previous calls as well as live coaching calls.
