Suzhou New District Tram Company

The Suzhou New District Tram Company operates a network of light rail vehicles in Suzhou, China.[1]

The first vehicle were delivered on April 11, 2014.[1] They were manufactured in China at CSR Puzhen, which licensed the design from Bombardier Transportation. In addition to licensing the Flexity 2 design from Bombardier, Bombardier will provide ten years of training and other support in the maintenance of the vehicles.

According to the International Railway Journal the company's first tram line will 18 kilometers long, have seven stops, and will service a satellite community within the greater Suzhou municipality.

Suzhou is in the process of constructing a heavy rail system, with five lines
