Sean Murphy
Sean Murphy is the Chairman and Global CEO of Procurri Corporation Limited, which is listed on the Singapore Exchange since 20 July 2016. Procurri Corporation Limited trades under the stock symbol BVQ (Bloomberg: PROC:SP, Reuters: PROC.SI).[1]
Education
Sean graduated from the Emory University in Georgia with a degree in Economics.
Career
Sean has more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry and is currently responsible for the strategic planning and overall management of the Procurri Group. He began his career in technology sales and became a company Vice President at Sun Data Systems as his first major senior role.[2]
In 1998, he, together with three partners, launched Canvas Systems, LLC (“Canvas Systems”), one of the world’s largest independent resellers of pre-owned, enterprise computer systems with offices in the US, UK, and Netherlands. Canvas Systems was acquired by Avnet, Inc. in 2012.[3]
Sean’s string of tech successes in the US also included co-founding Optimus Solutions Inc. in 2001, which was sold to Softchoice Corporation in 2008, and co-founding Corus360, which was sold to Converge Technology Partners Inc. in 2017.[4]
Recognition
Sean received the Entrepreneurial Success Award by the US Government-SBA Division in 2002. In 2006, he was selected as one of Atlanta’s 40 under 40 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and was awarded the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Small Business Person of the Year in 2007.[5]
Personal Life
Sean lives with his wife and four children in Duluth, Georgia. He is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons.
