Robert Embree

Robert Embree is an American business development professional specializing in life sciences, histology, urology, research, strategic planning, and building and operating full-service laboratories.

Early life and education

Embree was born in Killeen, Texas, in a US Army family. He moved between Butzbach, Germany, and Louisville, Kentucky, in his early days. After graduation, he joined the US Navy, training on the coastlines of San Diego.

Embree holds a bachelor’s from the University of Redlands and a master’s in Business Administration and Management from California State University Monterey Bay.[1] He received a Certificate of Completion in Laboratory Management from The Lab Management University, supported by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the American Pathology Foundation (APF). Embree is a licensed histotechnologist (HT17899) and holds a Qualification in Immunohistochemistry (QIHC) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).

Career

Healthcare

Embree has an experience of over 30 years within the healthcare and laboratory industry. He started his professional career in 1978 as a Petty Officer Third Class in the US Navy. He was appointed as the VP of Sales at TeleVideo in 1982. He served as a Supervisor of Laboratory Operations at Central Medical Laboratory, Supervisor of the Clinical Laboratory at Lakewood Pathology Associates, and Supervisor of the Histology Laboratory at United Veterinary Laboratory. In 2000, Embree worked as an Image Analysis and IHC Manager at US Labs. He became VP of Operations at CombiMatrix Diagnostics in 2004 and then joined PLUS Diagnostics as Vice President of Operations in 2008. In 2021, Embree founded a cancer diagnostics and information company, EmeritusDX,[2] dedicated to patient care, where he served as Chief Executive Officer.[3][4][5][6] In 2022, Embree purchased a full-service diagnostics laboratory, Freedom Pathology Partners, in Conshohocken, NJ, in 2022.[7][8]

Film producer

After having the opportunity to work on the set of a live film production. He founded the production company HAW Productions to help produce films that might not get the backing needed to be made. His first film as executive producer was Panic (2023). Followed quickly by a string of popular films, like The Victim, Rapunzel’s Revenge, and Zombikini.[9]
