The Photon Sled (Super Jet in Japan) is a fictional vehicle in the Micronauts series introduced in 1976. It is based on the Microman Super Jet released in 1975.


The Photon Sled was pictured on the toy box being piloted by an orange Time Traveler.


Takara released the Microman Super Jet in 1975.

Mego released the Photon Sled in 1976. It was also released by Airfix and Lion Rock.

In 2018 several parts for the Photon Sled were released on Shapeways by Mathew Robert Ignash.



1979 Marvel Comics

Acroyear and Ciciliar exit their Photon Sled and meet Microntron is Micronauts 14 by Marvel Comics

A vehicle resembling the Photon Sled was flown by Acroyear and Cicilia in issue 14.

2002 Image Comics

Various Micronauts vehicles in Karza issue 2 by Image Comics

A Photon Sled was seen among a number of vehicles in a hanger in Karza issue 2 by Image Comics.

2018 Micronauts Protectors of Inner Space

The cover of issue 15 of Micronauts Protectors of Inner Space depicts the Photon Fighter, inspired by the Photon Sled.

The Photon Sled is based on the Takara Microman Super Jet. Comes with a Time Traveler figure.

Comes with a Time Traveler figure.
  • Lion Rock Micronauts Photon Sled
This version of the Photon Sled came without the Time Traveler figure.
