Omer Faruk Naim is an Bangladeshi journalist and author. He is the reporter of Dhaka Post [1], the most visited Bengali online portal in Bangladesh. He is the Sub-Editor of Newspaper Weekly Purbodeek.[2]

Dhaka Post

Naim was one of the founding Correspondent of Dhaka Post.[3] Dhaka post is owned by The Bijoy Bangla Media Limited (BBML) a sister concern of the US Bangla Group of Companies. It officially launched on 16 February 2021 with the slogan `Treaty with the truth’. He was the founding news reporter of Dhaka Post.

Weekly Purbodeek is a weekly, Bengali-language independent newspaper in Bangladesh. It was founded on 03 March 2011. Purbodeek is a circulated newspaper by the Bangladesh government. Omer Faruk Naim is its sub-editor.

Personal life

Naim was born on 14 April 1999 in Jogonnathpur village of Kulaura municipality of Moulvibazar district. His father's name was MD. Junaid Ahmed and his mother's name was Mumina Begum. Naim grew up in a comfortable environment and left Kulaura to live in Moulvibazar when he was in 2 Years. In Moulvibazar, he participated in Writing and some good organization and gained popularity as a student or social worker leader.[6] Later he finished his education at Secondary College. He began his career as a journalist in his 20s. He was a grassroots reporter in 2017. He worked in the mainstream and reported on the upper echelon of Bangladesh crime and public-related issues. [7]
