Nasheed (also spelled Nashid or Nasyid) refers to Islamic vocal music, often accompanied by percussion instruments. It is a genre of music that is a cappella or uses only percussion instruments, avoiding the use of musical instruments that are haram (forbidden in Islam). Nasheeds are typically performed in a spiritual or religious context and often focus on themes such as praise for Allah, the Prophet Muhammad, or Islamic teachings.
