Muhammad Jahirul Islam

Muhammad Jahirul Islam (1 June 1999) is the founder of Ignite Global Foundation, one of the leading nonprofit organizations in Bangladesh. Through his foundation, he is working to improve the quality of education for underprivileged children and eliminate poverty. He was born in Gobindia, in the Chandpur district.

Early Life

From his childhood, He has received his education from different institutions. He has completed his Pre-Primary and Primary at Lakhiipur Kindergarten and Rajarhat Government School. He completed his 6th and 7th grades at Harina High School and then got admission to Chandpur Al Amin Academy School and College. He has completed his Bachelor of Science from the United College of Aviation Science & Management and the Canadian University of Bangladesh. In his primary and secondary stages, he got government and non-government scholarships for his study.

Muhammad Jahirul Islam is honored with enormous national and international awards. He has received the President Scout Award-2013, the Best Volunteer Group Award 2019 from UN Volunteers Bangladesh, The Diana Award, The Hero Award, Joy Bangla Youth Award, Appreciation for Unswerving Contribution, Student to Startup Award, JCI Young Entrepreneur Award-2022 and so on.

He started his Ignite Journey in 2016. He and some of his friends raised funds to distribute winter clothes to poor people in the Tongi to Airport area. On that day a group of children came to them and said” We don’t need clothes, we need education and want to go to school’. After that he realizes the importance of educating street children then he founded Ignite Global Foundation. Ignite Global Foundation is working for underprivileged children's education, women's empowerment, youth development, environment, poverty, health and hygiene, gender and social discrimination, child rights, Zakat, and so on.

In addition to working at Ignite, he has been encouraging the young generation through numerous training, motivational speeches, and mentoring. Muhammad Jahirul Islam said despite getting the opportunity to pursue higher education outside the country, he did not leave the country only to stand by the people of the country. His endless efforts try to eliminate poverty and create a secure future for underprivileged children in a rural area in Bangladesh by giving quality education and creating a diverse job sector for them and creating a positive change in the country through society. He has published his first book titled ‘Aviation Career’ at ‘Ekushey Boi Mela-2022’ from Addomo publication.
