Lou Schmidt
Lourenço Schmidt, also known as Lou Schmidt (born May 17, 1979) is a Brazilian, music producer, composer, Creative Director, multi-instrumentalist rooted in São Paulo, and one of the partners at Antfood.[1]

Work
He has been producing music albums and soundtracks for TV commercials, Cinema, DVDs and theater since 2000.[1][2] He is one of the partners at Antfood (An award-winning Music House with studios in New York, São Paulo and Amsterdam since 2012[3] and has released three albums: Universo em fade (2011), Decompression (2016) and Turn me Off (2020).[1] He was mentioned in the article "As melhores produtoras de áudio do País" on “Meio & Mensagem” as one of the three partners, and also the creative director at Antfood’s São Paulo’s office.[2]
Lou Schmidt worked as composer and music producer for "The Red Stain”, branded short film created for Francis Ford Coppola Winery and directed by Rodrigo Saavedra.[4][5][6][7] Also for Animal Hope Project by Leo Burnett Tailor Made, 'Ain't cute'.[8] Produced music for a short fan-made animation film, “Street Fighter III – Fuurinkazan”, made by Derek Henriques and Victor Hugo Queiroz.[9] For the three-and-a-half minute 3D Chinese animation, titled “Fu”.[10][11] And many more.[12][13]
Albums
Producer and Artist Lou Schmidt released the EP “Turn Me Off” on Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, Youtube, and many other streaming services in 2020, which has three songs.[14][15][16][17] He himself was responsible for composing the tracks, playing all the instruments, arranging and writing the lyrics, singing, recording and mixing. Lou created, directed and edited all video clips from the album.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26] Lou also released the albums Decompression (2016) and Universo Em Fade (2011) under his banner.[27][28]

Everton Behenck and Lou Schmidt released an album from the book “Nada mais Maldito que um Amor Bonito”, in 2020. The album is composed of 62 tracks of Everton's declaimed poems with Lou’s music.[29][30][31] He also produced the music for Luiza Caspary‘s Mergulho album,[32] Call me Lolla’s debut album[33] and Aqua-play’s Superstereophonic album.

His work was honoured at the biggest creative festivals around the world such as Cannes Lions, The One Show, Wave Festival, and Festival do Clube de Criação (CCSP).

He served as Jury Judge for Festival do CCSP São Paulo from 2015-2019 consecutively. Also, for the AICP Awards[38][39] and Ciclope Awards both in 2020, all for Soundtrack Category.
