Jobyer Ahmed is a Bangladeshi cybersecurity specialist and researcher.[1] He is also a penetration tester, and is known for founding RedNode, a company specializing in cybersecurity solutions and serving a global clientele.[2] With more than a decade's experience, his proficiency lies in pinpointing and mitigating security vulnerabilities in networks and applications. His skills include penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and ethical hacking.

Jobyer holds the distinction of being the sole recipient of the OSCE3 Certificate from OffSec in Bangladesh, highlighting his immense knowledge in offensive cybersecurity. Due to his expertise, he has become a well-known specialist in penetration testing. Jobyer has a track record of effectively identifying and rectifying vulnerabilities in diverse scenarios. He also possesses a wealth of certifications, including OSCP, OSED, OSWE, OSEP, Pentest+, Security+, and others.[3]

Cybersecurity career

From 2007 to 2014, Jobyer Ahmed served as a system administrator and technical support specialist for Windows and Linux systems. His responsibilities included software management, troubleshooting technical glitches, and ensuring system security. He began to specialize in cybersecurity in 2008 and became a dedicated cybersecurity specialist in 2014.

As a cybersecurity specialist, he undertook numerous contract-based projects, which included infrastructure penetration, vulnerability assessment, and black-box web application testing. Using open-source tools such as Kali Linux, Jobyer executed system penetration testing, web penetration testing, and network penetration testing.

In January 2022, Jobyer focused his efforts on RedNode, a cybersecurity company that he had earlier founded. RedNode provides an assortment of services to safeguard digital assets for clients around the world.[6] This includes Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Managed Security Services, cloud and network security, web application and system penetration testing, Infrastructure Security Testing, Secure Code Review, Red Teaming, and Social Engineering Testing.
