In 2019, Dzul Iskandar's remarkable talent as a cinematographer was acknowledged when he was handpicked as one of the two outstanding young filmmakers to represent Brunei Darussalam in the ASEAN Republic of Korea Film Leaders Incubator 2019. This prestigious event, co-organized by the Busan Film Commission, provided him with a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with esteemed film directors and certified cinematographers from Korea, allowing him to further refine his craft.

One notable achievement in Dzul Iskandar's repertoire is the premiere of his short film titled "Gelombang" in 2019 at the Empire Times Cineplex. This captivating work not only showcased his artistic vision but also captured the attention of the Philippines BINISAYA Film Festival in 2020, where it was selected for screening, gaining international recognition beyond the borders of Brunei. Continuing to build upon his success, Dzul Iskandar has made significant contributions to several remarkable projects. In 2019, he lent his expertise to the films "Hutang" and "Life from There," further solidifying his reputation as a highly talented filmmaker. "Nilai Part 1" won the best short film open category under IHL at Brunei Content Festival 2023 out of all 96 film that was short listed in the festival.
