Early Life


Ekeh Precious Chidubem, better known as Dicey, was born on March 23, 2006, in Abuja, Nigeria. As the eldest of three siblings, Dicey was raised in a loving and supportive family with strong ties to their royal heritage in Bende local government, Abia state. Throughout his childhood, Dicey split his time between Abuja and Lagos, experiencing the rich cultural diversity of both cities. From a young age, Dicey displayed a deep passion for the arts, engaging in various creative pursuits such as dancing, singing, and drawing. His love for artistic expression was evident in every aspect of his life, and he eagerly explored different avenues to hone his talents. Dicey attended several schools during his formative years, ultimately graduating from Samkings Science College in Karu, Abuja. Growing up, Dicey looked up to international pop sensation Justin Bieber as his role model, drawing inspiration from his success and dedication to his craft. This admiration fueled Dicey's determination to pursue a career in the music industry, setting the stage for his promising future as a rising Nigerian music artist.


Career


Dicey began to gain recognition in the Nigerian music scene by releasing his first single in 2021, "Don’t Leave," which received positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Dicey states that his role models in the music industry are Justin Bieber and Davido, who inspire him to do more and become better. He followed up with two more singles, then his first EP, "Trouble in Paradise," in January 2022, which features three tracks that showcase his versatility as an artist. The EP also includes the hit song "Vibez," for which he released a hype music video. In addition to his solo work, Dicey has also collaborated with other artists such as 7xs, and Lamar Rey and he recently collaborated with Coco the Best on an international project, which was well-received by fans. Dicey's music has gained traction on various streaming platforms, with over 100,000 streams and counting. His Top song "Tonight" has been featured on a top playlist and has two remixes, one featuring 7xs and the other featuring Damenta and Mullars254. In an effort to showcase his versatility and dedication to his craft, Dicey released the first chapter of his musical project, titled "Epistle of Love." This chapter contains five tracks, including two previously released songs and three new tracks that explore different themes and musical styles. Fans and critics alike have praised Dicey's ability to blend genres and create unique soundscapes in his music. Personal Life


Apart from his music career, Dicey is also a record label owner. He launched his own label, “Emperians Nation”, in 2022, and has been working with other up-and-coming artists to help them achieve their dreams. The label is focused on discovering and promoting talented up-and-coming artists in Nigeria and beyond. Emperians Nation has already signed a few artists, including Ydeekulsh and Czle Iv. The label has also released a few singles, including "Grace" by Ydeekulsh and “Sei Ini” by Czle iv. In addition to providing a platform for new artists, Emperians Nation also offers services such as music production, artist management, and promotion. The label is dedicated to helping its artists grow and succeed in the competitive music industry. Emperians Nation represents Dicey's commitment to giving back to the music community and helping other artists achieve their goals.
