David Herrera
David Herrera (born August 13, 1979) is a Spanish composer known for his contributions to the film, television, and gaming industries. He previously used the pseudonym Random X during the 1970s-2000s while composing music for various trance bands. Herrera currently serves as the owner and president of Fly Warp Records.
Early Life
David was born and raised in Zamora, Spain. He has a brother who works as a lawyer.
Herrera did not pursue formal music education; he is a self-taught musician. His initial focus was on trance music composition, but he later transitioned to orchestral music, primarily creating it for his own record label.
Career
Herrera initiated his musical journey in the early 1990s in his hometown. Subsequently, he toured Spain and shared the stage with renowned artists such as Cristian Her Beach, Oscar Muleteer, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Mónica Osmos, Decree, Elesbann, Deetron, Eric Sneo, and others.
While his work in trance music was significant in his early career, Herrera ultimately found composing orchestral music more personally fulfilling. He explored the genre and added his unique twist, finding it to have a more profound sense of purpose. He has described orchestral music as generating an indescribable yet pleasurable sensation within him.
