Biography

Ayushman Mukherjee, better known by his stage name "Darkest Ice", is a Music Executive Producer, Record Producer, Director, and Entrepreneur hailing from Northern India. Recognized for his distinctive cinematic neo-noir and ambient musical style, he masterfully merges genres, prominently Hip-Hop/Rap and R&B, to produce a sound enveloped in a dystopian and eerie mood.

Early Life

Born on 12th February 2007, Ayushman spent his early years living with his grandparents in North-Bengal, India. At the age of 5, he relocated to Kolkata, a city where his passion for music would burgeon. This newfound fervor was fueled by acquaintances he made in Kolkata, most notably the producer Alvin Jax.

His musical journey began earnestly in late 2018, initially inspired by EDM magnates such as Alan Walker, DJ Snake, and Martin Garrix. However, a pivotal shift occurred in 2019 when he was captivated by the productions of the renowned producer, Metro Boomin. This led to a transition in his musical interests, veering more toward Hip-Hop & R&B, genres he would later work on.

Career

Darkest Ice's career started in earnest as an Executive Producer for a record label, where he honed his skills and developed a unique signature style. With a growing confidence in his artistic capabilities, he branched out independently, translating his vivid imagination into musical masterpieces.

Notably, his music often features characters, each with their individual narratives, making his albums a transformative experience for listeners. One such example is his collaboration with Levus, marking the launch of his debut single, "Did Me Wrong". This track, a massive hit, paved the way for his EP "Dark Road To The Beyond". This particular EP serves as a precursor to Levus's highly anticipated project "The Great Beyond".
