The Daughters Of Yalta

In an interview with Idaho Public Broadcasting's Dialogue Katz described how Chartwells, a bookstore that was devoted exclusively to Winston Churchill, was in the lobby of office building where she worked as a financial analyst.[1] It was through her visits to that bookstore that she learned that the Churchill family were about to open Sarah Churchill's papers to the public, and the Churchill family invited her to write an article about Sarah, and her papers. That article lead to her book.

Sarah Churchill was the 30 year old daughter of UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill.[1][2][4] Kathleen Harriman, the daughter of Averell Harriman, the U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union, was 27 years old. Anna Roosevelt, was the daughter of U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt, was 38.

Katz argued that the three women each played important roles in the conference.[1]
