There was at least one vessel named Nascopie that spent most of her career in Canada's Arctic.

A vessel built for the Hudson's Bay Company, known variously as HBC Nascopie, RMS Nascopie and SS Nascopie was built in Scotland in 1911, and was wrecked in 1947. The prefix "HBC" is short for "Hudson's Bay Company", the prefix "RMS" is short for "Royal Mail Ship"; and "SS" is short for "steamship".

There are some references to a CGS Nascopie, where "CGS" is short for Canadian Government Ship. References to the CGS Nascopie refer to it carrying RCMP officers and medical personnel to remote Arctic settlements. Meanwhile the HBC Nascopie engaged in seal hunting, the fur trade, and Arctic exploration, and during World War I and World War II it was employed as an auxiliary warship
