Black Owl

Black Owl is the name of two fictional characters created by Prize Publications. The first was a super hero made in 1940, the second in 1943.

Doug Danville was a rich playboy who felt the need to fight crime. He began as K the Unknown but later became the Black Owl. After his crime fighting career neared the end he gave up the identity and would enlist in the army to help the war effort. First appears in Prize Comics #2.
