August Collection
The August Collection is a holiday home co-ownership company.[1][2] The company is headquartered in London and currently has over 100 homeowners.[3]
History
The August Collection was founded in 2018 by Mélie Dunod[1][4] and Nico Watzenig.[5]
In 2023, Richard Howarth became Chief Operational Officer, previously founder of the London restaurant Bob Bob Ricard.[6]
Overview
August Collection's co-ownership model allows clients to own the equivalent of just about 5% (ranging from 1/16 to 1/21) of 5 homes in 5 different locations in Europe. Homeowners book holidays in their homes via a point-based booking system.[7] This co-ownership model is also known as fractional vacation home ownership.[8] This allows joint homeowners to experience different homes in various countries.[9]
Homes in the August Collection are selected in order to bring the best experiences to the company's clients. There are several dozen properties selected out of the thousands of properties that the company has inspected.[10]
Operations
The company has a diverse portfolio, offering homes in locations such as the following.[1]
- Italy: Rome, Tuscany
- United Kingdom: the Cotswolds, London[11]
- Spain: Barcelona, Mallorca
- France: southern France (including in Cannes and Provence[12]), French Alps (including in Chamonix[13][14] and Paris)
