Ali Zulfikar Zahedi

Ali Zulfikar Zahedi is a Bangladeshi filmmaker, producer, screenwriter, and lyricist. He is known for his short film The Sound and his feature film Kagoj, which have won many international awards. He is also the founder of Addrian Productions, a film production company that aims to share Bangladesh’s untold stories with the world. He has a background in the corporate sector and education in Bangladesh, India, and the United Kingdom. He is married to Samia Habib and has a son named Ali Addrian Zahedi.

Upbringing and Early Life:

Ali Zulfikar Zahedi was born in Rajshahi in 1976 and grew up in Bogura. Ali's father Matiur Rahman was a government-registered pharmacist and University lecturer. Ali's father began working in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medicine Scientist after Bangladesh gained independence from Pakistan in 1971, When Ali Zulfikar Zahedi was in sixth grade, he wrote a poem. First Short Film:

In 2020, Ali released his first short film, The Sound. He took on scriptwriting, production, and directing duties for the short film. The Sound won numerous awards at film festivals around the world, both as a film and for Ali's various roles behind the camera.

In December 2022, Ali released his first feature-length film, Kagoz (The Paper). The film won several international awards, and Ali declared it to be the first classical Bangladeshi film in the industry. Ali wrote and directed the film and wrote the lyrics for the theme and sequence songs.
