Alfredo Buzzalino
Nationality Argentina
Known for survived being held in a deadly, secret, torture camp

Alfredo Buzzalino was one of Argentina's desaparecidos, "the disappeared".[1][2][3] These were individuals secretly kidnapped by Argentinian security officials, during it "dirty war". Most of these individuals were never seen again because they were victims of extrajudicial execution. Buzzalino was a rare survivor, who, after the restoration of democracy, testified against the kidnappers, torturers and murderers.

In 2022 Buzzalino testified against Mario Sandoval for the kidnapping, torture and murder of Architecture student Hernán Abriata.[1][2] At Sandoval's trial he testified Sandoval was more dilligent than other torturers to familiarize himself with the target's dossier, but that he was also one of the most ruthless interrogators, and stood ready call for their execution the moment he thought there was no need for more interrogation.
