Akter Hossain Bhuiyan
Akter Hossain Bhuiyan is a social activist. He is the Vice-President of Heaven Tune,[1] President of Akhlakul Hasana Foundation,[2] Secretary of Dar Us Sunnah Masjid in Chicago,[3] Advisor of Iqra Cartoon Network, regional director of NAHAR Midwest USA, and founding member of Darul Falah Islamia Madrasa and Eyateem Khana in Noakhali. He is the former President of MUNA Chicago Chapter (2011-2014). He served in the Chicago land Muslim Community for the past 25 years for dawah work and social work.
Personal Life
Akter Bhuiyan was born in December of 1970 in Sadar, Noakhali. He was the eldest son of Abdur Rob Bhuiyan and Firoza Begum Rani. He got married to Jahanara Begum from Dhaka in January in the year of 2000. He had 3 sons (Fahim Husain, Faiyaz Husain, and Ibrahim Husain). Ibrahim Husain passed away at the age of 2 in 2012 in the US. His oldest son Fahim is currently 18 years old and his second son Faiyaz is 16 years old. He currently resides in Chicago, USA with his full family.
Education
He completed his Associate degree in Science from Harold Washington College, Chicago in the year 2000. He got his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University, USA and acquired his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Northeastern Illinois University, USA.
Career
Akter Bhuiyan is a Bangladeshi born American Muslim community worker as well as a Senior Accountant by profession. He works as a Senior Accountant in Globetrotters Corporation in downtown Chicago[4]

- Organized team player with ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels of management, professional staff, and other constituents.
He also worked as a Senior Accountant in Alliance Creative Group in Chicago from 2017 to 2019, Midlakes Management LLC and a law firm of Messer & Stilp Ltd, Aston Carter, Chicago from 2008 to 2016. Worked as an Accounts Payable Manager and Customer Service Manager in Ambassador East Hotel, Chicago from 1999 to 2007. He served as a Substitute Teacher in Chicago Public School (CPS). He also served as an Islamic Theology Teacher in MCC Sunday School, Chicago (2009-2011)
Activism
He has been active in several Islamic organizations, cultural organizations and relief organizations, including Muslim Ummah of North America (MUNA), ISNA, MCC, Dar Us Sunnah Masjid, Iqra Cartoon Network, Heaven Tune, North American Humanitarian Aid & Relief (NAHAR) Akter Bhuiyan commonly broadcasts on private television in Bangladesh. Among the televisions he has been on so far are Panvision TV, Dawah TV, Heaven Tune main channel, etc. He conducts dawah activities through his Facebook. He talks about dawah and cultural works through his Facebook page.

He was also the Honorary PTA president of MCC Sunday School in 2011-2014 in Chicago. He is the honorary advisor of Iqra Cartoon.
