Adeleke Alex-Adedipe (born 28 November 1981) is a Nigerian Lawyer, Co-founder and Managing Partner of leading full-service commercial law firm, Duale, Ovia & Alex- Adedipe.[1]

Early Life

Adeleke Alex-Adedipe graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Law from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2007 and attended the Nigerian Law School between 2007 and 2008.

Career

Adeleke began his career in 2008 at the Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria. In 2009, he went on to work at the law firm of Paul Usoro & Co. He later moved on to the law firm of Aluko & Oyebode where he worked from 2010 to December 2015.

During his time, he was seconded to work in one of the biggest law firms in the Netherlands, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.

In February 2016, Adeleke co-founded the law firm, Duale, Ovia & Alex-Adedipe with Soibi Ovia and Adeniyi Duale, and in 2020, he became the firm's managing partner.[2] In the same year, Adeleke was appointed a Council Member for the Lagos State Research and Innovation Council by the Lagos State Government.[3]

Over the course of his career, Adeleke has advised on several Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) transactions and continues to represent a number of TMT clients in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.[4]

Activities

Adeleke plays an active role in the professional activities of the Nigerian Bar Association, where he served as the Chairman for the 15th Annual Business Law Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law.[5]

He was the Chairman of the Planning Committee of the 2022 Annual Business Luncheon of the Capital Markets Solicitors Association,[6] and is currently the Assistant Secretary on the Governing Council of the Nigerian Bar Association-Section on Business Law.[7]

He is a staunch advocate of data privacy,[8] cyber protection and technological advancement,[9][10] in all sectors of the economy.
