Early Life & Education
Abid Hasan completed his post-graduation in social work and earned his undergraduate degree in Computer Science on a merit scholarship, Abid was born in small locality of rural Buxar (Bihar) India. He was a CELP Fellow with Harvard University.
Career
Abid is working in the field of education and public service as an social entrepreneur. He founded Social Venture (India Mauritius Foundation / Khidmat India) in 2014 at the age of 16. He played a pivotal role in the world's largest COVID-19 vaccination drive while working with the Government of Bihar, His contributions to this critical public health effort were notable. He also served as a multimedia consultant for a media house, where he likely contributed to media-related projects and initiatives in Bihar.
Interfaith Dialogue & United Nations Involvement
Abid was selected for the Peace Education Fellowship of KAICIID, indicating his commitment to peacebuilding and interfaith dialogue. His involvement extended to attending the Youth Forum at the United Nations Headquarters in 2019 & 2020, where he was invited by the President of ECOSCO. He is Fellow member of UN Youth on Environment, Humanitarian affairs. Abid was fellow member of Youth Leadership and Engagement for Social Action (YLESA), a flagship Youth Leadership Program by Lead India with the US Embassy India, Abid was invited to the URI (United Religions Initiative) National Assembly held at BHU (Banaras Hindu University), a UNESCO Peace Center.
Awards and Recognitions
In recognition of Abid exceptional contributions, He was selected as a Global Young Leaders Fellow. He received the Karmaveer Chakra Award at IIT Delhi in 2019, an honor instituted by iCONGO in partnership with the United Nations, Furthering his academic pursuits, Abid Hasan was selected as an Indian SH Scholar in Hungary. for Master's in Business Administration at the University of Miskolc, Hungary, supported by the Government of India and the Tempus Public Foundation, He is also World Record Holder for the title "Youngest Founder & CEO of an International Foundation.
