Online Blockchain plc currently has a 17.98% holding in ADVFN plc [7]. ADVFN floated on AIM in March 2000.

In 2006, ADVFN acquired InvestorsHub.com, a leading online investment community website in the North American market. Three years later it bought AllIPO, an online IPO trading platform as well as stock brokerages TSCTrade and Throgmorton Street Capital.

Building from its financial forums (bulletin boards), the company expanded to offer stock prices, charts and analysis tools for all major world markets, indices, forex pairs, futures, options, ETFs and covered warrants. [9] [10] In the UK, ADVFN was instrumental in bringing data previously only available to institutional investors to the retail market. This includes real-time stock prices and Level 2 data [11] [12] [13]
