Sushmitha Rajesh
Sushmitha Rajesh (born 10 September 1990), known mononymously as Singer Sushmitha, is an Indian languages playback singer, known for her songs in Telugu and Hindi language. She has sung on multiple international stages and received accolades from globally recognised dignitaries. In 2022, She made her Telugu language singing debut with the private album Kalyana Vaibhavam. In spite of a non-musical background, Sushmitha had a passion towards singing and started singing in her school days.[1]

Early life
Sushmitha was born in Jagtial, Telangana to Jyoti Kasam and Rajaprathap Kasam. She grew up in Jagtial and did her bachelor’s from Kakatiya University. She has an elder brother, Rashmith Kasam. Sushmitha is married to Rajesh Vuppala and blessed with 2 kids Vihaan Vuppala and Ayan Vuppala.[2]
Career
Sushmitha started singing during her school days but started playback singing at the age of 32. She got trained under the guidance of Padma Bhushan K S Chitra in Artium Academy. Her first song “Kalyana Vaibhavam” is the longest Telugu language album song ever launched by an Indian-Australian (Australian with Indian origin) from Sydney,Australia. She was featured both in Indian and Australian Media for her achievements in music industry.[3]
Achievements and performances
- She started performing shows at the age of 8 and has done many stage shows including filmi music.
- She performed a medley in 3 different Indian languages(Telugu, Kannada, Hindi) in the Australian Telangana State Association cultural event held in Baha’i Center, Sydney in 2022.
- She sang “Sirulolikinche Chinni” Telugu song in Sydney Telugu Association event.
- she received accolades from the Telugu film star Ali.
- She performed non-stop 15 minutes performance in Australian Telangana forum event organised in Sydney in 2022.
