Robots in Disguise
Animated series
In Robots in Disguise, Skid-Z is an Autobot who came to Earth and scanned a championship race car as his alternate mode. Traces of its deceased driver's essence apparently lingered on the vehicle, as Skid-Z found himself compelled to compete in every race he encountered. In an effort to free him, the Autobots took part in a Grand Prix-the only race the driver had never won-and soon found themselves battling the Predacons, which forced Skid-Z to abandon the race for a time to save his comrades. He succeeded in winning, only to end up believing that another race was taking place and take off in it. Skid-Z later appeared for the final battle with Galvatron, after which he and the other Autobots raced each other for fun until they were berated by T-AI.
