Quartz (CIA torture camp)

From 2001 until at least 2006 the United States' Central Intelligence Agency secretly operated a clandestine archipelago of black sites, where they tortured individuals who were being held in secret extrajudicial detention -- including a site codenamed Quartz, in Poland. According to the Daily Utah Chronicle the CIA covertly paid corrupt Polish officials $15 million US dollars in return for the operation of the site.
