Mudflap is a name applied to several Transformers characters: two different Decepticons that use the same mold and an Autobot from the Transformers film series.

Decepticon

Unicron Trilogy

Animated series

Mudflap (Demolishor in Japan) is depicted as an old friend of Landmine's who was among the Cybertronians who relocated to Earth after their home planet came under threat from the Unicron singularity. Chafing at the role of "robot in disguise," the disgruntled Mudflap was eventually recruited to join the Decepticons, specifically under the leadership of Starscream.

Film series

Though he did not appear in the film Transformers, a new version of Mudflap was featured in the toy line for the movie.

Toys

  • Cybertron Mudflap (2005)
A robot who transforms into a Construction crane; some releases were packaged with the Mini-Cons Shockwave and Tankor. A redeco of the toy as a new character named Landslide was considered, but ultimately rejected.
  • Transformers Mudflap (2007)
A Toys 'R' Us exclusive repaint of the Cybertron toy in homage to the Micromaster Ejector; it was going to be named Sawtooth at one point, but as that name was unavailable for copyright it was named Mudflap instead.

Autobot

Film series

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen saw the introduction of an Autobot Mudflap, the twin brother of Skids.
