Head Shots Vol. 2 is a set of fictional character heads made by Play With This Too. The heads are Blackjack, Moon-Unit and Xando.
Play With This Too
Blackjack, Moon-Unit and Xando are three fictional characters and toy heads made by Play With This Too. They are intended for hobbyists to use in making custom action figures.
According to Play With This Too the exclusive recolor of Moon Unit would look good on Flarestrike or Goldminer, while the exclusive recolor of Blackjack would look good on a recolor of Boneyard.
Development
The Head Shots Vol. 2 were designed and named by Ken Christiansen.
The crowd funding exclusive colors of Head Shots Vol. 2 were revealed online in November 2015.
Reception
Rik Alvarez was interviewed on the TFYLP podcast on October 10th, 2014. They talked about Astroblast, Desolataur and Head Shots Vol. 1 and 2. The hosts thought Skull-FCKR looked like Predator and that Xando looked like a hammer head shark.[1]
The Cybercast podcast for October 11th, 2013 discussed Desolataur, Head Shots Vol. 2 and the TFcon Chicago 2014 teaser in the news. They thought that the teaser looked like Grimlock's sword.[2]
The Retro Robot Radio show for October 25th, 2014 interviewed Rik Alvarez. The show discussed Play With This Too team members Mark Wong, Steve Redinger, Trent Troop, Ken Christiansen, Aaron Archer and Simon Furman. It also talked about the toys for Ancient Astronaut, Astroblast, Bloodbath, Boneyard, Desolataur, Jetwash and Steel Cock as well as the first three volumes of Head Shots.[3]
The Shattered Cast Uncut podcast for October 30th, 2014 discussed Ancient Astronaut, Astroblast, Bloodbath, Boneyard, Desolataur, Jetwash and Head Shots Vol. 1 through 3 in the news. The hosts liked the Pretender homages, but did not understand the Head Shots. They said some of the designs reminded them of characters from Inhumanoids, Men in Black and Ren and Stimpy.[4]
The WTF@TFW podcast for November 1st, 2014 discussed the Ancient Astronaut, Bloodbath, Boneyard, Desolataur, Flarestrike, Jetwash and Head Shots Vol. 1 through 3 in the news. They said Xando looks like a G.I. Joe alien and talked about Aaron Archer and Simon Furman joining Play With This Too.[5]
The Retro Robot Radio show for November 15th, 2014 discussed renders for D-Mon, cape art for Desolataur, and crowd funding exclusive colors of Head Shots Vol. 1 and 2 in the news.[6]
