Asia is the largest of the seven continents on Planet Earth. It abuts the continent of Europe at the Ural mountains in the west. It is connected to the continent of Africa by a narrow isthmus in northeastern Egypt.
Russia is the country with the largest area in Asia. India and China, the two most populous countries on Planet Earth, at approximately 1.4 billion each, are also in Asia, making it the most populous continent.
