Abdulla-Al-Asif is a scientist, researcher, and author from Bangladesh. A marine ecologist and biologist working on the seagrass-mangrove complex, associated benthos ecology and blue carbon dynamics in the South China Sea (Western Pacific Ocean).

Passionate about aquaculture, fish farming-related technologies especially Responsible Aquaculture Practices (RAP), and trained to study marine ecology and biodiversity. A past professional in freshwater aquaculture disease consultancy and advocacy at the in-situ level. He is a marine ecologist (academic) experienced in the investigation of seagrass-mangrove-associated gastropods, bivalves, and other benthos mainly from Sarawak, Malaysia. Influenced by previous work skills and experiences which were engaged with Spirulina platensis aquaculture, and diversity assessment of other marine phytoplankton.
