Mant-Axe is a fictional character and toy made by BMOG Toys. He is an evil robotic manta ray.

BMOG Toys
Mant-Axe is a character from the BMOG (Bio-Mechanical Ordnance Gestalts) toy line. He is not an homage to any existing character, but meant to be used as either a stand-alone figure, or as accessories to any toy capable of using 5mm port accessories, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Transformers, Zoids Blox, and many others.
Development
Mant-Axe was designed by Trent Troop. The outline was first teased on the BMOG Tumblr page in October 2013.[1]
Trent announced Mant-Axe online on various message boards in October 2013. Initially the name was spelled Mantaxe, then Mantax until the spelling was fineally finalized as Mant-Axe .
Reception
The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for October 25th, 2013 interviewed Trent Troop about BMOG, where he mentioned Ursenal, Mant-Axe, Featherblight and the Non-Dino Squad.[2]
The Retro Robot Radio podcast for October 26th, 2013 covered the BMOG interview on Good Morning Cybertron in the news.[3]
The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for November 17th, 2013 interviewed Trent Troop. During the interview he mentioned Featherblight, Mant-Axe, Ursenal and the Non-Dino Squad. He also mentioned wanting to make characters inspired by the Inhumanoids and Wheeled Warriors toy lines.[4]
The Good Morning, Cybertron! podcast for December 8th, 2013 interviewed Trent Troop about BMOG, where he mentioned Ursenal, Mant-Axe, Featherblight, the Non-Dino Squad and Chainbilled Splatterpus.[5]
Fictional biography
The evil Mantax is a slippery sea-spy who was brought to life when weapons made by a group of evil interdimensional arms dealers were exposed to the power of the last world seed. He is a member of the Paraxxoids and rival of the heroic Ursenal. Mant-Axe has under-wing turbines that work both in air and water. He breaks down into a double-bladed battle axe and a duel barreled laser pistol.
