UKRockers is an English Gaming Clan & Community providing news and reviews for a number of games across a number of formats. Which has a GameBattles Major League Gaming team which is based in Great Britain and which is among one of the most known gaming clans across all online formats. It was founded on the 13th of March 2000 as a network gaming project which took place at Eastbury Comprehensive School Barking, United Kingdom raising money for the Richard House Hospice Charity, where they had a number of games on display and could be played to raise money such as Half-Life (series) computer gaming James Jarvis, Daniel Jarvis and Steve Sutton turned the network gaming project into a clan who played online on Worms 2 and Half-Life (series)

Charity Work

As part of UKRockers Charity work for 2011 working with a number of companies which as Extra-Life and GamesAid as UKRockers feels helping the children that are unable to help themselves by raising money and awareness.

UKRockers raised £100 for the Richard House Hospice Charity - 1999.

UKRockers have created a event to do a 24hr gaming event to raise money for the Royal Hospital for sick children - 2011.

UKRockers plan to run a number of tournaments on Team_Fortress_2 to raise money for GamesAid - 2011

2000 - 2004

UKRockers was formed on March 13, 2000 and every since the community members have been arranging meetups weather it be online or offline and videos have been created for those days. Community members in the past have met up for meals as well as lan gaming and laser quest games around the city centre of Nottingham. For UKRockers to get their name noticed across the gaming world there where lots of side projects which took place ranging from Internet Radio by working with a company called Metal-Lynx as well as taking part on a Sky Television programme known as GamerWeb a lengthy computer games show, where community members met online to play verus the presenters of the show on such Xbox games asSoldier of Fortune II: Double Helix which raised awareness of UKRockers on the Xbox as well as viewers of the show where aired Friendly TV GameScurbs and UKRockers worked together to run a number of online tournaments on games such as Mario Kart Double Dash and Hyper Street Fighter 2.

Before Clan & Community

The Network gaming project for the Richard House Hospice Charity was such as success many people who attending the project wanted for it to become more of a one off event and asked if more and more events could take place.[1] James, Daniel and Steve all parted ways after the Network gaming project to focus more on other projects where it saw James joining a community of gamers known as X-Clan who was to play beat em up games online testing connection issues and Lag, Daniel took part in a number of Alpha and Beta PC projects such as WWF With Authority! and Steve forces more on her personal life and career and becoming a network administrator.

Teams

UKRockers also was one of the first clans to play as a team with the Sega Dreamcast online by playing games such as Chu Chu Rocket / Quake 3 Arena and Phantasy Star Online, UKRockers still to this date go back online with the Sega Dreamcast and join the Dreamcast community.

UKRockers took part in the Beta of the Xbox Live in 2002 playing such games as Whacked! and MotoGP as more team and clan based games where released UKRockers moved on to such titles as Unreal Championship and Return to Castle Wolfenstein

UKRockers was one of the first clans to be online with every online gaming format at any given time, as a having their members play online on the Sega Dreamcast and the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox all at the same time playing a number of different games as part of a clan and a team, running and taking part in tournaments and ladders GameBattles Major League Gaming GameScrubs TeamCompete ClanBase EuroCup

UKRockers where invited to the special VIP Launch part of the Nintendo GameCube in London 2004

UKRockers name and logo where found on the posters and t’shirts for the Retro gaming event known as Retrovision 5 in 2005 as UKRockers took part in this event by having a number of different consoles for people to come and play.

UKRockers name and logo where found on the posters for GameCity around Nottingham in 2006 as UKRockers took part in the event by having the former Works Nightclub in Nottingham packed with gaming consoles for people to come and play for free.
