Transformers: Robots in Disguise, also known as Robots in Disguise Animated and as Transformers: Adventures in Japan, is a Transformers animated series and toy line in the Aligned Continuity.

Description

Animated series

The series centers around Bumblebee leading a team of Autobots on Earth after Megatronus brings down a prison ship full of Decepticons known as the Alchemor. Optimus Prime and the Thirteen Primes also aid Bumblebee in his battles, while he and his teammates must deal with the threat of Decepticons like Steeljaw who have escaped the ship or arrived on Earth since it's crash.

Season three of the series was later announced as Combiner Force, in which the Autobots must deal with the threat of a new Decepticon Combiner team by unlocking their own combination abilities.

The series has also featured small Crossovers with Transformers: Rescue Bots, characters and concept from Robots in Disguise having appeared in that series. The season one finale of Robots in Disguise also features a reference to Rescue Bots as Bumblebee orders his team to "Roll to the Rescue" before remarking "Wait, no, someone's using that battlecry."
