Super Melody-Bot: Ultimate Mecha Robot Crisis Battle is a 2019 American Wattpad 2-part one-shot short story created by me, Tomicamaker, which serves as a precursor to the upcoming Mechanica Dramatica series The story is set in a fictional city named New Boston and revolves around two sisters, Cassie and Marina, who pilot the super robot Melody-bot and do battle with their arch-rival, Clarissa Adams and her assistant Mrs. Bishop. It's also be released on Deviantart: https://www.deviantart.com/tomicamaker1234/art/Ultimate-Mecha-Robot-Crisis-Battle-783739889 https://www.deviantart.com/tomicamaker1234/art/Ultimate-Mecha-Robot-Crisis-Battle-Part-2-785484310

Plot

The story is split into 2 separate parts. Part 1 begins with a My Melody-shaped giant mecha named "Melody-bot", landing in a Boston-like city, known as "New Boston". Melody-bot is then attacked by a Zaku from the Gundam franchise. Melody-bot engages the Zaku and it's at this point that Melody-bot is piloted by two girls, "Cassie" and "Marina"(whose names where unknown up until now.) The girls then use two of Melody-bot's weaponry, the Super Beam and Melody Punch to destroy the Zaku. They then fight a fleet of mecha, until reaching a large flying fortress, the "Cho-Senkan". Cassie and Marina overcome the ship's defenses before facing Clarissa Adams and Mrs. Bishop with their Kuromi-shaped mecha, named Hyper Kuromi X3-99. After a brief fight, Hyper Kuromi interfaces with the Cho-Senkan. The ship flies into outer space, where it transforms into a towering mech called the "Cho-Sentron", ending the first half on a cliffhanger. The second part starts with Cassie and Marina engaging the Cho-Sentron in space. The duo manages to destroy the large robot's head, but Clarissa orders Mrs. Bishop to activate the Cho-Sentron's secondary control program. Hyper Kuromi merges with the Cho-Sentron, while Clarissa exits the mech and uses a strange device to transform herself into a huge, monstrous beast. The fighters take their battle to the moon. At one point during the fight, our heroine duo use the Super Beam attack, but Clarissa swallows the laser, becoming much more powerful in the process. She fires tentacles at Melody-bot, trapping the robot, before capturing and swallowing Marina whole. This infuriates Cassie, who then flies into a rage. Clarissa merges with the Cho-Sentron, which seems to further increase her power, but Cassie uses the T-Link System to break free from the tentacles and take full control of Melody-bot herself. She rams the mech into Clarissa using a technique known as the “Flaming Meteor”, piercing through her chest. Cassie then enters Clarissa’s body. After traveling into Clarissa’s stomach, Cassie finds Marina hanging onto a wire. She brings her back into one of Melody-bot’s cockpits. The two then exits Clarissa’s body. After escaping, Cassie and Marina engage Clarissa, who manages to heal the injuries she sustained. The duo realizes that Clarissa’s body is inhabited by Machine Cells. A ship appears, which is revealed to be a piece of specialized equipment, the Super Mech Armor. Melody-bot docks with the armor. In retaliation, Clarissa uses a device known as the “Dimensional System”, which sends her and the duo to unknown location. While traveling in sub space created by the Dimensional System, Cassie and Marina continue their fight with Clarissa. They end up in a strange pocket dimension, dubbed “warp space” by Clarissa. Cassie and Marina then engage Clarissa in one final battle, severing her arm and firing the Super Mech Armor at her, impaling her through the chest. Clarissa, in a last ditch effort to defeat the duo, activates an explosive device within her body.. Cassie and Marina use Melody-bot’s XN System to escape from the warp space as Clarissa violently self destructs, taking her own life(and also presumably killing Mrs. Bishop and destroying the warp space in the process).

The story ends with Cassie and Marina returning to Earth, in the DeviantArt version, the two reference the Discworld comic book series.

Super Melody-Bot & Mechanica Dramatica

As stated above, Super Melody-Bot is a prototype of what will eventually become the MS: Mechanica Dramatica anthology series. Hence, they share several similarities: They both have mechas piloted by female characters.(The mechs in the MD series, especially the protagonists', is usually, but not always, a fan-made creation, based on an existing mobile suit from the Gundam franchise, hence the stories take place in a entirely original timeline separate from the other Gundam universes)

The main antagonist(Clarissa) is also female, and the secondary antagonist

SMB and the MD series also follow the battles between the protagonist and antagonist, who has a more powerful mecha in their possession.

Despite the similarities, there are also many differences:

SMB was mostly lighthearted. The stories in the Mechanica Dramatica anthology will be much darker in tone and feature many disturbing themes and subject matter, the notable of which are abuse, psychological horror(including mental delusions), exploitation, body horror, and the use of technology for one's personal gain.

The mechs(especially the protagonists'), are mostly super robots, but depicted in a realistic manner. For instance, they are bulky and heavy, which causes them to move slowly on land, but sport great aerial capabilities. They require repair when damaged, and are often modified using spare parts, sometimes from other mechs.
