Lost Protectors

Sir Pythanore is a fictional character created by Play With This Too as part of their Lost Protectors series. He is the first knight in the Serpents of the Coiled Throne. He can sense into the infrared spectrum. He wears a Babel Bracer which translates all languages and Tachyon Telegraph which can send and receive transmissions with an interplanetary range. His weapon of choice is his Scythe-Winder.

Development

Play With This Too announced the Serpents of the Coiled Table set in November 2014. They said they were intended to be crowd funding exclusives. This concept was developed by Trent Troop and designed by Steve Redinger and Aaron Archer.

In February 2015 Play With This Too released images of the prototype for Desolataur, which included parts used on Sir Pythanore.

Sir Pythanore and King Adder were among the stretch goals for the unsuccessful Lost Protectors Kickstarter campaign. They were to be unlocked if the campaign raised at least $125,000.[1]

Initial art of Sir Pythanore depicted him with the sword weapon from Desolataur, but later later art depicted him with the scythe weapon from Bloodbath.

In August 2015 Play With This Too released images of prototype parts for Jetstrike, which included parts used on Sir Pythanore.

The Scythe Winder was named by Mathew Robert Ignash, who also wrote his motto.

In March 2017 Prize Inside released three versions of the Nightmare Scythe on their Shapeways store in various colors.
